Our Anaphylaxis course is a 3-4 hour practical course which covers the skills and knowledge in the 22578VIC – Course in first aid management of Anaphylaxis.
Prerequisite :
None.
Statement of Attainment
A Statement of Attainment in 22578VIC – Course in First Aid Management of Anaphylaxis. The statements of attainment can be emailed to successful students on the same day as the course and are renewable every 2 years.
In addition, it is recommended that the skills and knowledge related to using adrenaline injectors be refreshed at least annually by having hands-on practice using an adrenaline injector trainer device and undertaking industry-relevant training such as the ASCIA anaphylaxis e-training module on adrenaline injectors.

VU23090- Provide first aid management of anaphylaxis
VU23091– Develop risk minimisation and risk management strategies for anaphylaxis

1. Recognise mild/severe anaphylaxis
2. Apply first aid to allergy/anaphylaxis
3. Administer adrenaline auto-injector
4. Apply Anaphylaxis Action Plan
5. Implement strategies to reduce allergy risk Identify anaphylaxis triggers
6. DRSABCD – Basic Life Support
